Position Purpose:
Provide technical support for district computers, including workstations and printers and audio-visual equipment. May be responsible for setup, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of workstations; and, provide assistance in operating computers and utilizing network functions.
Essential Duties:
- Provide technical assistance, solutions, and support to computer users and school staff.
- Installation, maintenance, and support of computer hardware and application software, including operating systems, electronic mail, Microsoft Office, and curriculum-specific software. May assist in research and evaluate hardware and software options based on the needs of the district.
- Update and maintain building inventory using the district inventory system. Collect, prepare and record outdated equipment for disposal.
- Maintain and coordinate technology inventory, help requests, databases maintained by ITS, including inventory and work orders.
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary courses in microcomputer, computer software, and hardware equivalent to one year of college.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
Experience:
- One year and up to and including two years of experience in database administration, computer hardware, software, and basic knowledge of networking.
Salary Grade 6 minimum $22.98 per hour
Work hours: 40 hours per week
