2026-2027 Teacher - Remedial (Math) (Student Services)

A vacancy exists for a Teacher - Remedial (Math) to work within the Office of Student Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit!  This is an itinerant position supporting K-12 students in both nonpublic schools and school age programs.  This position will be available for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
Qualifications:

• Valid PA 7-12 Mathematics or 9-12 Mathematics PDE Certification with successful completion of PRAXIS (4-8 Math) within one year of employment.
• Prior successful instructional experience in similar school programs preferred.
• Current Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
   

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide remedial reading and math instructional support in pull-out programs for K-12 students in PA ACT 89 eligible non-public schools and school age programs. 

Location:
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)
 
Salary:
Bachelor's, Step 1: $53,997/year
Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
