Location: Roaring Fork High School
Reports to: Roaring Fork High School Principal
Classification: Certified Exempt - Full-Time (0.75 FTE / 30 hours per week)
Contract Period: 185 working days.
Salary Range
- *$54,000 to $83,500 (Based on education and years of relevant teaching experience) *The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1) and a full working calendar. For positions with less than a full FTE or reduced hours, such as part-time or late-start positions, the salary will be prorated accordingly. Certified Salary Schedule

Position Overview
- RFHS is seeking a Spanish Teacher (0.75) to teach Spanish 1 and 2 this year with ability in the future to teach upper level Spanish if needed.
- Candidates should demonstrate a passion for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction that is thoughtfully planned to meet the needs of all learners. The ideal candidate will excel at building meaningful relationships with a diverse student body, bringing enthusiasm and real-world relevance to the classroom.
- In addition to teaching Spanish, this teacher will be a Crew leader for a group of students over the course of the year. As a Crew leader, the teacher serves as a student advocate, acts as the primary contact point between parents and the school, creates meaningful relationships and experiences, and monitors and supports student progress both academically and socially.
Education and Licencing Guidelines
- Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited institution
- An active Colorado Teaching License in World Languages K-12 [or similar] or the ability to obtain
- Official transcripts must be provided upon hire. For international transcripts, an evaluation is required through a member organization of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
- Visa candidates: An initial (3-year) license is the minimum requirement for employment offers

Physical Requirements
- May include, standing and walking for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift materials; reach for supplies on high shelves; use manual dexterity for tasks like writing and using technology; communicate clearly and effectively with students; climb stairs in multi-level buildings.
