SUMMARY
The Event Supervisor – Non-Athletics is responsible for overseeing school-sponsored non-athletic events (such as dances, concerts, plays, academic competitions, and graduation) to ensure a safe, well organized, and positive environment for students, staff, and spectators. This position supports event operations, supervises attendees, and helps enforce school policies and expectations.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Building Principal or Designated Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
- Provide on-site supervision for non-athletic events before, during, and after the scheduled activity.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, District requirements, and facility rules.
- Monitor spectator and student behavior and address concerns in a professional, friendly manner.
- Assist with crowd control and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
- Coordinate with event organizers, faculty advisors, and security personnel as needed.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, or conflicts and document as required.
- Ensure proper setup and breakdown of event spaces.
- Secure facilities at the conclusion of events.
- Perform duties with awareness of al District requirements and Board of Education policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to direct student helpers or event staff under his/her supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience working in schools, event management, or student supervision preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and continuously required to stand.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (e.g., event equipment or folding chairs).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and color vision.
