Ag Teacher

Job Title: Ag Teacher                                 Start Date: August 2026
Reports to: High School Principal            Pay Scale: CISD Teacher Scale + stipend
School: High School

Primary Role:
Assist with directing and managing the Clifton ISD agricultural science program with emphasis in
Ag Mech. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences and provide an
opportunity to participate in extracurricular ag activities. Plan activities to achieve district, region,
and state recognition and ensure compliance with all local, state and district requirements and
policies.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree from accredited university
* Valid Texas teaching certificate
* Demonstrated competency in agricultural science
* CDL preferred or willingness to obtain

Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Knowledge of agricultural science and technology
* Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
* Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
* Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences
* Ability to manage budget and personnel
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
Experience as a high school teacher preferred, but not required
