Information and Records Clerk IV
Description
Lincoln County School District is accepting on-line applications for an Information and Records Clerk IV at Taft 7-12.
PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support for principal and other school staff.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains handwritten and computerized student enrollment records.
- Completes enrollment reports.
- Enrolls new students, completes all required forms, and requests records from other schools.
- Maintains grade records in student cumulative files.
- Types forms, statistical reports, correspondence and performs other clerical work as directed.
- Provides clerical support to professional staff.
- Answers telephones, delivers messages, makes appointments, and arranges meetings for staff and parents. Greets students and parents in a courteous manner.
- Assists school secretary in maintaining communication flow within the building.
- Assists other clerical staff as needed.
- Trains, supervises and assists in scheduling student aides.
- Maintains thorough working knowledge of current laws and regulations related to student records and reporting including transfers, McKinney-Vento, military, legal/custody, etc.
- Assists students in locating scholarship applications and/or college information.
- Prepares and sends official transcripts to colleges and completes school's portion of college application for students.
- Assists with student scheduling when needed. Assists students in determining classes needed and complete data entry and master schedule maintenance.
Files Essential Skills reports; Completes data entry and hand files Essential Skills Task Titles and Essential Skills work samples for teachers; Prepares Essential Skills reports for staff and administration.
- Designs and sets up report cards in the SIS and manages enrollment and all flags and related reports; Maintains all report card and transcript information in the computer.
- Processes progress and grade cards and reports.

Salary: $20.19/hour - $22.30/hour
This is an 8.0 hour per day, 11-month position
