Description
Description: 1.0 FTE teaching position in GRADES 3-5 ART.
Job Summary:
- Strong commitment to choice-based, student directed learning.
- Help students self-identify as artists through TAB pedagogy.
- Solid understanding and successful experience in the assessment of the arts.
- Provide ongoing support and encouragement through instruction and assessments.
- Collaborate with other teachers to design and coordinate common assessments and utilize data to target student developmental needs.
- Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
- Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
- Establish and maintain high standards for character and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching license, K-12 Visual Arts required.
- Experience using TAB pedagogy at the elementary level preferred.
- Experience working with upper elementary preferred.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.
- Experience with curriculum and assessment design.
- Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.
- Ability to use technology as an instructional tool.

COMPENSATION
Full Year, Full Time
BA Step 1 ($51,256) to EdS Step 20 ($110,239)
