Preschool Instructional Assistant (2026-2027 School Year)

Job Description:

• Assist students ages 3-5 with curriculum and instruction
• Provide support under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Assist with supervision of children at arrival and dismissal
• Assist students with toileting
• Be able to multitask in a classroom environment
• Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of materials/equipment/toys
• Be able to play with students and role model

Job Requirements:

• Works collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Organizes time effectively
• Demonstrates flexibility
• Experience with students ages 3-5

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time; lift and carry 25 lbs.; work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations; see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter; hear and understand speech at normal levels; communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation, operate office equipment, and reach in all directions.
