Description

Job Summary: The Director of Instructional Programs, under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer and in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer, performs highly responsible administrative, supervisory, and professional work to implement school system policies and procedures related to assigned Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and activities.

This role involves building, supporting, and sustaining assigned CTE programs in partnership with business, labor, and postsecondary organizations. The goal is to provide relevant and rigorous pathways and coherent courses of study aligned with current industry and academic standards—preparing students for success in further education, careers, and citizenship. The assigned CTE programs operate across two centralized campuses and one leased campus.


Job Type: Full Time, This is a full-time, exempt position. Regular school business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with classes scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Availability for extended work hours is required if job responsibilities necessitate. Evening work may be needed for advisory team meetings, career fairs, and other school-sponsored activities.

Salary: $115,894 - 143,984.64

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education, Education Leadership, or a related area from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of successful leadership experience as a principal, assistant principal, CTE Director at an accredited secondary institution or equivalent leadership experience from an accredited post-secondary institution, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, experience and abilities.
  • Minimum of three years of verified teaching experience at an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Combination of secondary and post-secondary academic leadership experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience in CTE at an accredited secondary or post-secondary institution preferred.
  • Administrative experience in K-12 setting preferred.
  • A valid in-state or out-of-state Principal Certificate preferred.

Licensing/Certification and Other Requirements:

  • Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) fingerprint card.
  • Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
