LPAC Aide
Description
Primary Purpose:
Assist in supporting the LPAC process to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for English Learners (ELs). The LPAC Aide helps maintain accurate records, coordinate meetings, and support campus staff in implementing services for students identified as English Learners.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred or required based on campus needs
Experience:
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Experience with student records or data systems (e.g., Skyward, Frontline) preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of LPAC procedures and Texas Education Agency guidelines
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
LPAC Support:
- Assist in scheduling and organizing LPAC meetings throughout the school year
- Prepare LPAC documentation, forms, and student folders
- Ensure all LPAC paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with state requirements
- Support identification, placement, review, and exit processes for English Learners
Data Management:
- Maintain and update student LPAC records in district systems (e.g., Skyward)
- Track TELPAS, assessment accommodations, and language proficiency data
- Assist with PEIMS coding related to English Learners
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for bilingual/ESL programs
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Maintain organized and secure filing systems (electronic and paper)
Communication & Coordination:
- Communicate with campus staff regarding LPAC requirements and timelines
- Assist with parent notifications and required documentation (home language surveys, letters, etc.)
- Provide translation support if bilingual (as needed)
Other Duties:
- Support campus administration and ESL/bilingual staff as needed
- Attend required training related to LPAC procedures and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 25 lbs)
- Frequent sitting, standing, and computer use
- Work environment: School campus office setting
• Starting Salary $22,186
• Salary commensurate with experience
• Works 187 Day Calendar
• Remote work is not available for this role.
