Summer Discovery Teacher (multiple vacancies)

Description: Roseville Area Schools has vacancies for licensed teachers throughout the district for Summer Discovery, a Targeted Services program.  

Summer Discovery dates are June 22, 2026 - July 23, 2026 (Monday-Thursday).

Building Sites: 

Central Park Elementary

Title: Specialist (Gym, SEL, or STEM)

Hours: 8:30am-1:00pm

Roseville Area Middle School

Qualifications: A current MN Teaching License is required.
 

Compensation: $32.00/hour, 5 hours/day

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction aligned to each student's Continued Learning Plan (CLP) and identified academic needs.
• Provide targeted literacy and/or math support through engaging, hands-on, and student-centered learning experiences.
• Support daily program routines, including student arrival and dismissal, transitions between learning spaces, meal routines, and helping students successfully navigate the overall Summer Discovery experience.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students to increase engagement, motivation, confidence, and academic achievement.
• Collaborate with the Summer Discovery Site Supervisor, classroom teachers, and school personnel to support student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and complete all required Targeted Services documentation, including CLPs and student progress summaries.
• Communicate with families as needed regarding student attendance, schedule updates, and academic progress.
• Follow all district policies, procedures,  and Minnesota Department of Education Targeted Services guidelines.
• Report suspected child abuse or neglect as mandated by law.
• Maintain student confidentiality and uphold all data privacy expectations in accordance with district and state guidelines.

Qualifications:

• A current MN Teaching License is required.
• Understanding of elementary literacy and math instructional practices.
• Commitment to an equitable education experience for all.
• Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
