Cross Country ~ Head Coach

Minimum Stipend Offered: $4,634

Purpose Statement:

Extra-curricular activities serve as a vital extension of the student experience. Coaches inspire, motivate, and teach students specific skills related to cross country while fostering positive character traits, teamwork, and relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the cross country program.
• Develop and implement effective practice schedules, strategies, and race plans.
• Promote and uphold sportsmanship, teamwork, and team values.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• Monitor and maintain student eligibility and adherence to district and state policies.
• Coordinate with assistant coaches, athletic directors, and other staff members.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Certification: Coaches must have completed 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching.

• Qualified External Candidates

Work Environment:

• The role involves on-campus practices, meets, and off-site events as required.
• Evening and weekend commitments are expected during the season.
