Instrument Instructor (Short Term 2-3 weeks)- Color Guard

TITLE:  Instrument Instructor (Short Term 2-3 weeks)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Holds a valid Kentucky teaching certificate; or\
2. Holds a Bachelor's degree or higher with 2.5 grade point average; or
3. Has a high school diploma (or its equivalent), is age 18 or over and has at least 3 years of band experience
4. Has the ability to communicate effectively with students

REPORTS TO:  Band Director

JOB GOAL:  To provide instruction under certified staff supervision.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide group instruction to members of the marching band
2. Instruct in areas of expertise (i.e. instrument of expertise)
3. Be responsible for reports of progress of students to the certified band staff
4. Have all students under supervision of certified personnel at all times at approved after-school programs
5. Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor
