The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school community in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Business Teacher at North Plainfield High School.
For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and comprehensive understanding of business concepts, and how to prepare students for postsecondary educational and professional opportunities in the field.
Qualifications and Responsibilities Include:
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate as Teacher of Business or Teacher of Marketing
- Teacher of Comprehensive Business (1300) certificate preferred
- Effective project-management, problem-solving, organizational, human relations, and written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual education experience a plus
Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
