Anticipated - Part-Time Armed Security Guard

GASD Part-time Armed Security Guard 
Provide law enforcement during the school day and during after school events providing protection to students, staff and event spectators to create a safe and healthy environment.

Essential Functions:
Provide diligent patrol of district schools and grounds in order to keep students, staff and event spectators safe and deter crimes.
Help enforce PA Crime Codes under direction of the School Police Officer and/or local law enforcement for violations on school property. 
While on duty respond to emergencies on district property and school buses with the guidance of the School Police Officer and/or local law enforcement.
Monitor traffic and parking on and around district property. 
Provide law enforcement related assistance on all security matters. 
Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.

Educational requirements would include a high school diploma  
Preferred work experience would include working in law enforcement or security

Must successfully complete the Basic School Resource Officer Course of Instruction offered by NASRO or an equivalent course of instruction approved by PCCD.
