Minimum Requirements:
Education: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership; Specialist preferred; L5 or L6 certification.
Experience: Experience as a school administrator preferred. Experience working with federal programs preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Skills in working effectively with stakeholders; effective writing and speaking skills; knowledge of school improvement and organization development, change, and instructional administration and supervision; ability to conduct and interpret research and data to support implementation of federal and state programs. Computer skills and experience with excel programs and AS400. Experience with budget development.
Primary Function: Effectively administers and coordinates all Federal Program Areas and the Consolidated Grant Application process for the Habersham County School System. The Federal Programs Director ensures due process and compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and legal requirements related to Federal Programs.

Consolidated Grant Application
- Supervise, coordinate, train, and support staff regarding procedures and protocol for all tests offered in the school system.
- Implements the district's assessment plan to measure the achievement of all students and provides data for improvement in the instructional program.
- Uses strong interpersonal skills in working with internal organizational teams and for problem solving.
- Works collaboratively with other system directors and school leaders to accomplish the mission and goals of the Habersham County Board of Education.
- Work closely with other central office administrators on special projects and on matters related to all federal programs, including special education.
- When necessary, assist the special education department by attending IEP meetings at the school level and serve as LEA when needed.
- Help coordinate and plan staff development for certified and classified staff in areas related to federal programs, including special education.
- Remain current on laws and requirements regarding all federal programs, including Special Education and meet with related staff to interpret and implement regulations.
