Description
The role of the school psychologist intern is to identify, assess, and interpret student data, provide consultation for teachers, parents and administrators, provide direct interventions with students, develop and implement behavior support plans, and be an essential member of the crisis management team. Candidate will identify and assess the learning development, and academic/social emotional needs of individuals from age 3 to 21 to determine eligibility for special or gifted educational services and/or to determine research-based educational interventions. Candidates will identify and assess the environmental factors that affect learning and development. Candidates will conduct Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and develop appropriate behavior plans and evidence based interventions.. Candidates will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to find effective solutions to learning, behavior and emotional problems including building-wide behavior support targets, individual behavior support plans, and MTSS. Must have In Progress Educational Specialist degree or Doctorate in School Psychology. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado Special Services Intern License.
The starting annual salary for this position will be $48,446 - $75,279 . Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. This is a 1.2 FTE position and is eligible for full benefits.
