Job Description

The District Coordinator of RTI & MTSS is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive K-12 framework that addresses the academic and behavioral needs of all students. This role ensures systems are in place to guarantee that tiered interventions are power standards-aligned, data-driven, evidence-based, and consistently applied across all K-12 school sites to close achievement gaps and support student success.  This role works closely with teaching and learning coordinators K-12 and the District Assessment Coordinator, as well as site-based Principals and Instructional Coordinators.  This is a district-level role that will work and travel between campuses.

  • Ensure interventions are supplemental to, and not a replacement for, high-quality and impactful core standard instruction.
  • Collaborate with Teaching and Learning Coordinators to support instruction in preparation for State Assessment

Professional Learning & Coaching

  • Design and facilitate professional development for principals, interventionists, and classroom teachers on RTI/MTSS best practices, including coaching adult learners and leaders in explicit instructional practices
  • Provide on-site coaching to building-level MTSS teams to ensure fidelity of implementation.
