Position Overview: Newcastle High School is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Science and Math Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming academic year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering a love for inquiry and problem-solving, refining student analytical skills, and developing critical thinking within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Curriculum & Instruction: Design and implement engaging, standards-based Science and Math lessons that challenge and inspire high school students of varying ability levels. Classroom Environment: Cultivate a classroom culture that encourages intellectual curiosity, mutual respect, and active student participation.
Assessment: Utilize a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to facilitate mastery of core concepts. Collaboration: Work closely with the Science and Math departments to align curriculum, share instructional strategies, and participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Communication: Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and administration regarding academic growth and behavioral expectations.

Job Qualifications: Certification: Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Science and/or Mathematics (Secondary Level).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Secondary Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, effective classroom management techniques, and the ability to integrate technology (such as graphing calculators or lab equipment) into daily instruction.
