2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - ENGLISH TEACHER - PEQUANNOCK TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid New Jersey Teacher of English Certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for English Language Arts, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
• Experience designing and delivering standards-based instruction across a range of high school courses (e.g., academic, honors, and Advanced Placement)
• Strong understanding of best practices in literacy instruction, including analysis of complex texts and evidence-based writing
• Experience using formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and support student growth
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster an engaging, inclusive learning environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and families

SALARY RANGE: Steps 1-4
