Position: 7th Grade Head Football Coach
Location: Tallmadge Middle School
Reports To: Building Principal & Athletic Director
Position Type: Supplemental / Coaching Position
Position Summary
Tallmadge Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th grade head football coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership, organization, and instruction to student-athletes while promoting school spirit, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Essential Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, contests, and team activities
• Teach proper techniques, strategies, and safety procedures specific to football
• Promote school spirit and represent Tallmadge Middle School in a positive and professional manner
• Coordinate team activities & assist with offseason development
• Develop and implement practice plans and competitive strategies
• Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the athletic department
• Ensure compliance with Tallmadge City Schools policies, OHSAA regulations, and safety guidelines
• Organize tryouts and assist in the selection of team members
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and positive character among student-athletes
• Supervise students during practices, contests, travel, and team events
• Maintain inventory and care of uniforms and equipment
Qualifications
• Previous football coaching and/or playing experience preferred
• Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and safety standards
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
• Must meet all Tallmadge City Schools and OHSAA coaching certification requirements:
- Pupil Activity Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
- CPR/AED certification
- First Aid certification
- Concussion training

Compensation
Supplemental stipend per the Tallmadge City Schools supplemental salary schedule.
