Position: Assistant Boys Basketball Coach
Location: North High School - North St. Paul
Start date: November 2026 
Salary: Per NSPMOEA Master Contract
Work Year: 2026-2027 School Year

Position Overview:
North High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Boys Basketball Coach to assist the head coach in leading our program with an education-based and transformational coaching philosophy. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes growth, sportsmanship and excellence both on and off the court.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist in organizing and overseeing the Boys Basketball program, including practices, games, and team-building activities
2. Promote a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all student-athletes
3. Communicate effectively with players, parents/guardians, and other coaching staff
4. Model integrity, accountability, and professionalism consistent with the mission and values of North High School

Required Qualifications:
1. Experience in coaching Basketball or playing competitively
2. Experience working with high school aged students
3. Be available for practices and games 2:30 PM-10:00 PM during the season
4. Strong human relation skills
5. Knowledge of MSHSL rules and regulations
6. Strong organizational skills
7. Strong communication skills
8. Understands education-based athletics

Desired Qualifications: 
1. Previous high school coaching experience
2. High school and college playing experience
