Elementary Principal

The Mount Laurel School District is seeking a dynamic, experienced educational leader to serve as Principal of Countryside Elementary School.

Countryside Elementary School serves approximately 265 students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 in a rich, supportive learning environment. The school is staffed by approximately 60 highly qualified professionals and staff who are dedicated to fostering academic excellence, inclusive practices, and the social-emotional development of every student.

Countryside Elementary also houses key district special education programs, and benefits from strong instructional support provided by district curriculum supervisors across all academic content areas.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Supervising and evaluating instructional and support staff using the Danielson Framework for Teaching.
• Overseeing all aspects of daily school operations, including building management and safety.
• Collaborating effectively with staff, families, the PTO, and district administration to cultivate a positive, inclusive school culture.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of instructional programs in alignment with district standards and approved curricula.
• Supporting continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and reflective leadership practices.

Compensation will be based on the Mount Laurel Administrators Association (MLAA) contract agreement.

• Minimum Starting Salary Proposal $130,000, negotiable based on experience.
