1-Year Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Lower Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grades 1–3)

Job Summary
The Lower Elementary Classroom Teacher plays a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in grades 1–3. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of Connecticut Core Standards
- Expertise in early literacy and numeracy instruction
- Experience using assessment data to inform and differentiate instruction
- Understanding of tiered intervention strategies and the RTI process
- Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive school climate
- Flexibility, creativity, and innovation in instructional practice

Qualifications
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Elementary Education (Grades 1–6 or equivalent)
- Experience teaching in an elementary classroom preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background checks, fingerprinting, and submission of official transcripts.
Salary and Benefits
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Salisbury Central Faculty Association contract. Placement will be on Step 1 of the Bachelor's lane unless otherwise recommended by the Superintendent based on experience and qualifications.
