Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9-12)
Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus, Geometry, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Trigonometry, Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics III.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.

High School Math: Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. Ideal teaching opportunity for retired teacher looking to supplement retirement income. Ideal pathway for those beginning or continuing a teaching career in a supportive environment with a focused teaching load. Small class size. No extracurricular duties. Early College Academy is a charter school that is a Dropout Prevention Credit Recovery High School. Our charter is sponsored by the Educational Service center of Central Ohio. Our mission is to engage disenfranchised students, low income youth, first-generation college goers, English language learners, students of color and other young people underrepresented in higher education in a curriculum that has the potential for qualified students to earn college credit.
Early College Academy is on a 4-day work week, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are optional half day opportunity to work for additional pay by tutoring students, contacting parents and participating in data analysis in an effort to close the achievement gap.
Responsibilities: Be willing to create engaging instructional activities that go beyond textbook learning Be competent in all areas of Ohio Graduation Assessments Once weekly Professional Development meeting for faculty Be willing to use technology effectively in the classroom Be willing and able to team with colleagues Commit to students and the ultimate goal of High School graduation Maintain accurate data and records to document all activities and services provided Analyze quarterly grades, district assessments for student progress Mentor and follow through with the identified students over a sustained period of time Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with students, school personnel and families
There are no extracurricular activities, sports, clubs or duties assigned to this job. Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:15- 2:45 Optional Fridays for additional pay: 9:00 - noon
