Bellmont High School Girls Wrestling Head Coach

Position: Bellmont High School is seeking an energetic, committed, and qualified Head Girls Wrestling Coach to lead and develop our girls wrestling program. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that emphasizes student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, academic success, and character development, while maintaining full compliance with IHSAA regulations and North Adams Community Schools policies. Girls Wrestling is an IHSAA-sanctioned sport, and Bellmont is committed to continuing to grow participation and success within the program.
 
Qualifications:
Prior wrestling coaching experience (high school or collegiate level preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to work positively with high school-aged student-athletes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to complete and maintain IHSAA Coaching Accreditation, including all required NFHS courses:
  • Concussion in Sports
  • Heat Illness Prevention
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest
  • Protecting Students from Abuse
  • Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
    (Courses must be maintained per IHSAA requirements)
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to meet all background check and employment requirements of North Adams Community Schools.
• Experience leading or building a girls' wrestling program.
• Knowledge of Indiana high school wrestling rules and IHSAA tournament structure.

Requirements:
Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Girls Wrestling program.

• Plan and conduct practices that emphasize skill development, safety, conditioning, and strategy.
• Promote high standards of sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity in accordance with IHSAA philosophy.
• Maintain compliance with all IHSAA by-laws, season limitations, and out-of-season coaching regulations.
• Ensure student-athlete eligibility and encourage academic achievement.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, assistant coaches, athletic administration, and school personnel.
• Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate program logistics in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Support the overall mission of Bellmont High School and North Adams Community Schools.
