ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY 

Teacher

2026 -2027 School Year 

POSITION:

Music Teacher - High School/Middle School 

And any positions that result from the filling of this posting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsement (JX or JQ)
  • Must meet MCL 380.1531 & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

DUTIES:
  • Provide a quality music education environment
  • Differentiate lessons for specific abilities
  • Use research based instructional techniques
  • Provide a learning environment that is trauma informed
  • Provide instruction to address the State Benchmarks
  • Use appropriate technology tools
  • Complete records in a timely manner
  • Plan, organize, and host an evening musical performance per building assigned
  • Communicate to all members of the school & community
  • Meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position
  • Philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools
  • Work cooperatively with staff
  • Follow the requirements of administrators
  • Provide classroom instruction and keep accurate student records
  • Other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBLE TO:Building Principal 
WORK SCHEDULE:According to School Calendar
SALARY:According to LPEA Master Agreement
