Position Overview:
Knox City Elementary is seeking a dynamic and dedicated teacher to lead instruction for Kindergarten students. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and integrate hands-on learning experiences across both content areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, TEKS-aligned instruction in Kindergarten.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote inquiry-based and project-based learning.
- Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and campus leadership to align curriculum and best practices.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (Generalist EC–6 or appropriate certification)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to student growth and achievement
- Experience in a rural or small-school setting is a plus
