Description

Lewis-Palmer School District 38 is seeking reliable and motivated students to join our Grounds Department as Temporary Summer Student Groundskeepers. This physical, outdoor position supports the maintenance and upkeep of district grounds during the summer months.  Candidates must be 16 years of age or older to apply and must be a full time high school or college student.  Candidates over the age of 18 must have a driver's license to operate district vehicles or machinery.  Candidates must be available to work for the duration of the summer, with planned family vacations scheduled in advance. Candidates will perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments and may work in extreme weather conditions  Candidates will work safely and cooperatively as part of a team, follow all safety procedures and departmental guidelines and must be willing and able to begin work at 6:30 a.m. For safety reasons, wearing long pants and steel-toed shoes may be required attire at the students own expense.  All prospective employees over the age of 18 are fingerprinted at the employees own expense. This is a temporary position for the summer, starting towards mid May.
