This is a unique opportunity to work in a co-teaching classroom environment, where you will partner with another teacher to support our youngest learners through hands-on, whole-child, and experiential learning. We welcome Montessori-trained teachers or those with a Montessori mindset who value independence, exploration, and student-centered learning.

About the Role

As a K–1 Montessori Teacher, you will co-teach alongside a partner teacher, working collaboratively to create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Co-teach and collaborate daily with a partner teacher to plan, implement, and reflect on instruction

  • Implement Montessori-aligned practices that foster independence, exploration, and self-directed learning

  • Design and deliver hands-on, engaging lessons that support early literacy, math, and foundational skills

  • Integrate environmental and marine science concepts into daily learning experiences

  • Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, and curiosity

  • Observe and assess student progress to guide individualized instruction

  • Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

  • Collaborate with team members to support school-wide initiatives and interdisciplinary learning

Qualifications

Why OSCS?   At Ocean Studies Charter School, you will:

  • Be part of a school grounded in creativity, community, and heart

  • Inspire students through real-world, environmental, and marine science learning

  • Work within a collaborative co-teaching environment

  • Be supported by a team that values innovation and shared practice

  • Make a meaningful impact on students during their most formative years

If you are ready to ignite curiosity, inspire young minds, and be part of something truly special, we encourage you to apply.
