PARK COUNTY RE2 SCHOOL DISTRICT IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ELEMENTARY ART TEACHER Edith Teter Elementary is seeking a creative, student-centered Art Teacher to serve students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about fostering creativity, building relationships, and creating an engaging, structured environment where all students can explore and express themselves through art.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES -Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade -Teach a variety of artistic techniques, media, and concepts appropriate to each grade level -Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports creativity and student behavior -Integrate opportunities for student choice, creativity, and self-expression -Connect art instruction to cross-curricular themes when appropriate -Incorporate elements of the natural environment into art experiences when possible -Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school -Assess student progress and provide feedback on artistic growth and effort -Maintain and organize art supplies, materials, and classroom space -Build strong relationships with students and staff -Collaborate with classroom teachers and support school-wide initiatives -Support school culture through participation in events, celebrations, and activities
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL Edith Teter Elementary is a small K-5 school located in Fairplay, Colorado, offering a supportive team environment and a strong focus on positive school culture. COMPENSATION -Salary commensurate with education and experience. -4-day school week (Monday-Thursday), 7:30AM-4:30PM -153 contracted days -Health, dental, vision, and life insurance -PERA Retirement -Paid leave and additional district benefits
