Paraprofessional (Instructional)

Instructional Paraprofessional - Preschool 

Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, we are seeking a dynamic educator to, to assist certified professional staff with preschool students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists the teacher with the arrival and dismissal of preschool students
• Assist the teacher in supporting students with daily learning and emotional regulation.
• Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned curriculum programs.
• Assists with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, de-escalate, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.
• Assists students with special needs in maximizing inclusion, learning, and achievement of IEP objectives.
• Assist preschool students with toileting, diapering, and hand washing
• Supervise and assist students during rest time
• Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures, and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.

Certification
Substitute certification preferred
