Description:
BOLD ISD is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Physical Education and Health teacher to join our secondary team. This educator will deliver engaging instruction in physical education and health education across grades 5–12, fostering lifelong wellness habits, positive self-concept, and healthy decision-making in every student. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm for movement, a commitment to whole-child development, and the flexibility that thrives in a rural school environment.
. Job Summary:
- Plan, deliver, and assess standards-aligned PE and Health instruction for students in grades 5–12
- Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that supports students of all ability levels
- Integrate social-emotional learning and wellness concepts into daily instruction
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate proactively with families
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and school-wide culture efforts
- Supervise students in instructional and non-instructional settings as assigned
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives
- Maintain and inventory physical education equipment and facilities
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by building administration
BOLD ISD offers a rich co-curricular program, and coaching opportunities may be available depending on the candidate's interest and the district's needs. Coaching positions are considered a valued addition to our staff community and can be assigned as a separate duty. Candidates with interest and experience in coaching are encouraged to indicate this in their application.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Physical Education (K–12) or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Health Education, or related field
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with adolescent learners
- Preferred:
- Coaching experience at the middle school or high school level
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
Salary: Starting at $45,744-$65,000 Depending on experince (Negations pending for the 2026-2027 School Year)
