Welcome to the Special Education District of Lake County. SEDOL is a cooperative educational system working with 31 local school districts to serve their students facing physical, emotional, and other learning challenges. Our mission is to provide "Exceptional Services for Exceptional Students by Exceptional Staff".

Description:
The Special Education District of Lake County has an opening for a special education teaching position in the Teaching Appropriate Behaviors (TAB) classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. The TAB program is designed to meet the needs of students' grades K through 8 whose behavioral or emotional needs are to such a marked degree that they adversely affect their educational performance and/or the learning of others. The program is intended to teach appropriate behaviors, teach new academic skills, and reduce inappropriate behavior.
Type of Employment: Full Time, 2026-2027 School Year
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Certification Type: Professional Educator License (PEL) - LBSI
Salary: $45,381-$73.381(25-26 rates due to current negotiations of bargaining agreement)
