2026 ELD Summer Camp Coordinator

Session 1 Student Camp Dates: July 6 – 9, 2026 

Session 2 Student Camp Dates: July 13 – 16, 2026 

Coordinator Hours: Must be available in person during the ELD Summer Camp as well as hours completed in person prior to summer camp and after summer camp ends.

Location: 5/6 Center and District Office

Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Support with completion of registration process.
• Prepare materials and supplies for camp classrooms prior to camp.
• Meet with the teachers prior to camp to go over expectations and other important information.
• Support teachers with planning instruction and STEAM activities for camp in reading, writing, speaking, and listening through the workshop model.
• Coordinate with the Teaching & Learning Department, as needed.
• Provide daily support to teachers throughout the day as needed (i.e. bathroom breaks, supplies, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with students and their families prior to camp about buses and camp information.
• Communicate with students and families during camp, as needed.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; should be flexible and have a cooperative attitude with fellow team members.
• Provide quality leadership to ensure an excellent camp experience for all students.
• Support teachers in classroom management techniques to support a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Help monitor students at lunch and recess daily.
• Keep records of attendance, breakfast, and lunch.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.  

Certification Requirements: ESL Specialist or K-12 teaching certificate
