Description: To support ongoing development and improvement of the instructional programs of CH-UH schools.
Job Summary: 220-day contract
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in providing innovative leadership in areas of curriculum, instruction, and student learning.
- Supervise personnel in the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
- Ensure ongoing evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices implementation.
- Oversee, coordinate, and evaluate the early childhood, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and educational technology programs.
- Manage the budget for high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and professional learning.
- Oversee the piloting, adoption, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) toward the continuous improvement of instructional and learning practices.
- Practice and implement the Ohio Improvement Process (TBTs, BLTs, and DLTs).
- Serve as a liaison between schools and community, state, and national professional organizations, the Department of Education and Workforce, and regional service providers.
- Supervise federal and state grant coordination, along with assigned staff, including Title II-A, professional development funds with programs grant administrator.
- Keep the Director of Curriculum and Instruction informed in matters of curriculum, instruction, and professional learning
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M.A.)
- Appropriate State of Ohio certification/license
- Minimum of five or more years of successful teaching experience
- Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Successful experiences as a teacher and building administrator
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in curriculum development and implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in the evaluation of curriculum programs and student achievement
- Demonstrated knowledge of student learning theories and practice
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of technology into the instructional program
Salary Range: Salary and benefit package will be commensurate with the education and experience of the candidate.
