JOB OVERVIEW:
To provide students with an Art education and learning experiences that maximizes their intellectual, social and emotional development in the pursuit of learning the history of art.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
2.Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students
3.Observe and evaluate students' performance in a timely manner
4.Prepare lesson plans and course timelines
5.Demonstrate methods to students

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Letters of application
- Recommendations and/or references
- Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary age children is preferred
- Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Elementary Teaching Certificate, which includes endorsement in Art
- The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
- Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered
