- June 10, 2026 - First day with students
HOURS/DAY: Varies
RATE OF PAY: $12.76 per hour
Terms of employment in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions for the position.
SUMMARY:
To assist the Site Leader in providing a well-planned, organized, and enriching Kids' Company Program. The position supports the supervision and engagement of children in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
Assist the Site Leader in planning, implementing and carrying out daily activities.
Supervise children's activities, including set-up and clean-up, and ensure all safety rules are followed.
Support and implement discipline procedures as needed when directly involved with the situation.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Actively participate in games, projects, and activities, serving as a positive role model and leader.
Maintain program supplies and communicate with the Site Leader when additional materials are needed.
Be available to work on release days as scheduled by the Site Leader or Kids' Company Coordinator.
Communicate any concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the Site Leader and/or Coordinator.
Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs to meet in-service training requirements.
Promote teamwork, excellent customer service, and a positive image of the program to colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with district and program policies.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
At least 16 years of age.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (Candidates without certification will attend trainings after hire to be certified)
Required Knowledge:
District policies and procedures.
Confidentiality requirements related to students and families.
Basic understanding of emergency response and incident reporting protocols.
Required Skills:
Ability to support individual students and small groups.
Clear and professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, students and families.
Demonstrate reliability and accountability when responding to daily tasks and unexpected circumstances.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in multiple settings including but not limited to, classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and multipurpose rooms.
