Morgan Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered First Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic growth, curiosity, and strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills for young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging first grade instruction aligned to Ohio Learning Standards
- Build a positive classroom culture that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support student learning
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Collaborate with colleagues, intervention specialists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio teaching license in Early Childhood Education (PK–3) or appropriate licensure
- Strong knowledge of early literacy and numeracy instruction
- Ability to create a positive, structured learning environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting the success of all students
