SY 26-27 Teacher - Special Education, Self-Contained Pool

Isle of Wight County Schools is accepting applications for a Special Education Special Programs Teacher Applicant Pool for the 2026-2027 school year. This pool allows the division to identify and connect with qualified candidates as self-contained special education teaching opportunities become available across the division.

Teachers in self-contained classrooms provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs while creating a structured and supportive learning environment that promotes academic growth, independence, and social development.

Who should apply?

• Teachers who hold (or are eligible for) a valid Virginia Special Education- General Curriculum license
• Bachelor's degree holders who are interested in becoming licensed we'll help you explore pathways like our iteach partnership
