POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: PIF Guidance Document Design Team Member (Summer 2026)
REPORTS TO: Director of Instructional Framework & Instructional Support
PROJECT DURATION: June–July 2026 (Summer Development Phase I)
COMMITMENT:
Estimated 25 Hours
• Minimum 3-hour in-person work (June 2-4)
• Remaining hours completed through remote collaborative drafting and design work (June 5 – July 10)
COMPENSATION:
Stipend: 1,000 Stipend (Estimated: 25 hours per participant)
POSITION PURPOSE
The PIF Guidance Document Design Team Member will collaborate in the development of the Proviso Instructional Framework (PIF) in Action Guide, a districtwide instructional resource that defines high-quality instructional practice aligned to each PIF phase.
This role contributes to building a coherent, research-aligned, and equity-centered instructional playbook that strengthens professional learning, coaching alignment, and instructional consistency across Proviso East, West, and PMSA.
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES
DOCUMENT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate in the creation of the PIF Guidance Document framework and outline
- Define strong practice descriptors aligned to each PIF phase
- Draft coaching "look-fors" aligned to Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR)
- Develop cross-content instructional exemplars
- Contribute to shared language and calibration tools for instructional leadership
- Participate in structured collaborative drafting sessions
- Engage in peer feedback and revision cycles
- Support the development of Version 1.0 (Summer Draft)

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience or Training
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
• Demonstrated experience implementing the Proviso Instructional Framework
• Experience participating in professional learning cycles or coaching conversations
Desired Experience or Training
• Department Chair or Teacher Leader experience
• Experience facilitating professional learning
• Strong writing and curriculum design skills
• Experience aligning instruction to Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR)
