Position: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
School Year: 2026-2027
Location: Roaring Fork Schools District Office
Reports to: Special Education Director
Classification: Certified Exempt - Full-Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week) 
Contract Period: 185 working days.

 

Salary Range

 

  • *$56,809 to $89,509 (Based on education and years of relevant working experience) *The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1) and a full working calendar. For positions with less than a full FTE or reduced hours, such as part-time or late-start positions, the salary will be prorated accordingly. Certified Salary Schedule

Position Overview

 

  • The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21. They will assess patient abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices. The SLP will also educate and support patients and families, maintain comprehensive records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).

 

Necessary Credentials

 

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or equivalent (required for Colorado Department of Education licensure).
  • Must be eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA Certification preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Conduct evaluations and diagnose speech/language disorders.
  • Develop and provide therapy for speech, language, and swallowing issues.
  • Use evidence-based practices for treatment.
  • Educate and support patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Work with other professionals and refer when necessary.
  • Stay current with new research and techniques.
  • Adapt treatment for diverse populations.
  • Oversee SLPAs.

 

Physical Requirements 

 

  • May include, light travel, standing and walking for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift materials; reach for supplies on high shelves; use manual dexterity for tasks like writing and using technology; communicate clearly and effectively with students; climb stairs in multi-level buildings.
