ANTICIPATED BENEFITS SPECIALIST/ASSISTANT PAYROLL COORDINATOR
DISTRICT
2025-2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Holds Associates Degree, or equivalent experience with benefits, management, administration, payroll or related field..
- Possesses an ability to multitask.
- Possesses excellent attention to detail in all aspects of the position especially with data input.
- Displays confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Performs complex benefits and other functions relating to worker's compensation and unemployment
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and district requirements for
- securing public school employment is required.
- Experience with Genesis (SchoolFi) preferred.
12 Month- Unaffiliated Position
Reports to: Business Administrator
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000
Available for full medical and dental benefits
Anticipated Start Date: April 13, 2026
Performance Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Assists with the bi-monthly preparation of payroll for the district
- Verify and input all payroll timesheets, overtime, and stipend payments
- Reviews Board minutes to verify proper compensation of employees
- Coordinates the district's open-enrollment periods for health, dental, flexible spending account (FSA) and 403B's
- Collaborate with HR Department to ensure benefits are calculated and collected for employees collecting FMLA or NJFLA
- Manages staff initial enrollments, policy changes, waivers, and terminations within the health benefits and pension programs
- Conducts benefits orientation sessions for new and existing employees and informs employees of changes relating to benefit plans
- Assists in preparation of paperwork relating to pension and tax fillings (TPAF, PERS, 941, WR30, etc)
- Assists in preparation of annual W-2 and 1095c forms
- Responds to all inquiries by employees, outside agencies, and legal entities as related to payroll and benefits
