Description

POSITION:                 EDUCATIONAL DIAGNOSTICIAN
 
SUPERVISOR:           Director of EPO
 
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
   To provide educational evaluation as part of a Multidisciplinary Team process to determine individual student need in fulfillment of applicable state and federal
    regulations.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct and/or coordinate multidisciplinary team education evaluations for educational concerns;
  2. Identify the learning needs of students; to be included in Field Evaluation
  3. Coordinate supportive evaluations as may be required to obtain current Student information;
  4. Complete a summative written report inclusive of all referral information, previous education history and evaluation results, following each evaluation
  5. Provide information about the instructional implications of evaluation information to assist the team to develop appropriate student goals and
  6. Participate in required Multidisciplinary Team meetings for all students
  7. Meet with parents as needed to discuss evaluation data;
  8. Respect confidentiality of student(s), teacher(s) and school information;
  9. Participate in professional development activities as identified or recommended by self or supervisor;
  10. Maintain current information regarding educational assessments, state or federal regulations or district requirements;
  11. Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, materials and equipment as needed;
  12.  Maintain accurate records as required regarding the status of evaluations;
  13. Fulfill district requirements for length of day, annual calendar and other work related schedules as may be identified;
  14. Maintain necessary and appropriate licensure:
  15. Utilize technology in the performance of job duties
  16. Accept other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Licensure as Educational Diagnostician
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Ability to stand, sit, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. reach, squat and/or kneel may be required.
  2. Ability to work in a variety of educational settings.
  3. Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 185 Day postion - Exempt
