The Harlan Community School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting diverse learners and committed to helping students reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
This position involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, maintaining strong communication with families, and providing specialized instruction in alignment with state standards and district curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
Candidates must hold appropriate state certification in special education and demonstrate knowledge of IDEA regulations, inclusive practices, and differentiated instruction strategies. A commitment to collaboration, flexibility, and fostering a supportive learning environment is essential.
