Summer School Drivers Education Teacher - 9 Positions (Control Codes: 130549 - 130557)

VACANCY:  The Valley View Public School District is seeking individuals to fill a temporary, Summer School Drivers Education teaching position.
 
JOB SUMMARY:  The teacher's duties include teaching the driver's education classroom or behind the wheel or a combination of both.
 
Orientation:    TBD
Date:               June 1, 2026 – June 18, 2026 
Staff Hours:    7:00am-2:00pm
Location:        Bolingbrook High School

Note:   Number of positions anticipated to be determined by student enrollment.  Teachers will be notified as soon as possible regarding the status of their employment for the summer.  Teacher assignments are contingent upon student enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must hold appropriate State of Illinois Teaching Licensure with Driver Education Endorsement
• Successful high school teaching experience preferred
• Applicants must be available for the full summer term (i.e., under no other contractual obligation during this time period)        

 
WORKING CONDITIONS:  The teacher will be paid $40.00 per hour. Make up days if required will be added to the end of the semester.
