Now Hiring: Paraprofessional – Extracurricular Activity (Track)
Location: Northridge High School (Athletics)
Northridge High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support a student participating in the Track & Field program. This position provides meaningful, hands-on support to ensure the student can safely and fully participate in extracurricular athletic activities.
Position Overview:
The Paraprofessional will provide direct assistance to a student during track practices and athletic competitions, supporting inclusion, safety, and student success beyond the traditional school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and support the student during track practices and athletic competitions
- Assist with mobility and participation during practices and meets, including walking and running alongside the student
- Provide support with dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs as required
- Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times
- Collaborate with coaches, staff, and administrators as needed
Schedule:
- Hours may occur outside the normal school day
- Evening and weekend work required based on practice and competition schedules
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and assist a minimum of 75 pounds
- Physically able to walk, run, stand, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to provide personal care with dignity, professionalism, and respect
