Continuing Education Instructor, Part-Time

Position Summary
The Continuing Education Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering instruction for adult and community education courses. This position provides instruction in a safe, organized, and engaging manner consistent with course descriptions and program expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver instruction for assigned continuing education courses
- Prepare and present instructional materials appropriate to the course content
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Follow district policies, procedures, and facility use guidelines
- Maintain attendance records and communicate with program staff as required
- Begin and end classes on time
- Report instructional concerns, safety issues, or cancellations to program staff
Qualifications
- Knowledge, training, or experience relevant to the course subject area
- Experience teaching adults or leading group instruction preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners
- Dependable and able to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform duties consistent with the instructional needs of the course
- Ability to stand, move, and demonstrate activities as required

Varies based on course schedule and enrollment
