TITLE: Applications Support & Trainer
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Network and Operations
JOB SUMMARY: Performs functions including; providing support and training for existing iSeries applications and processes; under the general direction of the Administrative Computing Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide application support. Support ranges from ‘how to' questions to assisting users with query tools.
- Participate in the testing phase of software used within the school district.
- Review current training programs for accuracy & completeness.
- Produces or coordinates the production of instructional materials required for workshops/classes.
- Create customized program presentations and workshops focused on how to utilize specialized programs used throughout the school district.
- Conduct presentations / workshops / seminars related to programs and services offered by the technology department.
- Manages and archives training records. Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and take on additional responsibilities as required by business needs, facilitating prompt response to users requests
- Ability to collaborate with a varying range of user's skill within all levels of the organization.
- The individual is expected to work independently or with other team members on multiple tasks at the same time, completing all tasks or projects in a timely manner and according to department and/or company standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work under the pressure of project deadlines and production support.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- College degree or comparable knowledge and skills gained through work experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience preparing training materials a plus
- Excellent skills within all Microsoft Office products
- Experience within a school district setting.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Effective written and oral communication skills and excellent presentation skills are required.
- Ability to run workshops and classes
- Strong customer service skills are required
- Strong verbal, written and computer skills are required
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Work is performed in an environment where unusual temperature, noise and hazards are relatively nonexistent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The work year for this position is 12 months. The salary is based on LUDA market comparisons as determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
PAY SCALE AND BENEFIT DISCLOSURE:
Salary Range: $54,573 - $82,929
