ECSE BUILDING SPECIAL EDUCATION LEADERS for Extended School Year (ESY)
2 Positions Available
DATES & SUMMER HOURS:
June 10 - Teacher set-up day
June 15 – June 18, Monday thru Thursday, 4.5 hours per day
June 22 – June 25, Monday thru Thursday, 4.5hours per day
HOURS: Lead Teacher hours are 8:45 am - 1:15 pm / Student contact hours are 9:15am - 12:00pm
Additional hours during the week of June 8th for set-up and required training. Up to 60 additional hours upon approval for planning and/or coordinating center based ESY special education supports with the majority of hours completed during months leading up to the summer session.
Assignments will be made based on student needs.
SITE: ECSE - Sorteberg Early Childhood Center
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direction, coordination, and supervision of staff during summer services. Facilitate good student behavior in the building by working with students, staff, and families. Complete and submit required district paperwork.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current MN Teaching License for one of more of the following is required: Special Ed Teacher License (any field), Speech Clinician/Pathologist, School Psychologist, Developmental/Adapted Phy Ed, Visually Impaired, Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license). Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current MN Administrative License and/or staff coordination experience.
RATE OF PAY: All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $39.04 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time. There is no sick leave for summer school teachers.
